Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

Book Collection

I have digitally organised my book collection into the Amazon Listmania website. Each list only has fields for a maximum of 25 books. But nicely enough, Amazon Listmania also allows the creation of multiple sublists within one Listmania. So I split my book lists into 5 separate sub lists, according to the location of the book now – Malaysia or Singapore:

Books in Singapore – Part I | Part II | Part III (check out all three parts)
In Part II, there is a special book. It was a gift from an Italian friend who visited a used-books shop while he was on vacation in Cambodia.  The book, The Italians, is an antique, with a handwritten message written by my friend on the inside page. The Italians was first published in 1964, and I received the 1965 edition, which makes this 44-year old vintage, the oldest book in my possession. Sotheby’s, anyone?

Books in Malaysia – Part I | Part II (check out both parts)
These lists are not sorted in any order because there are still many books in my storage in Malaysia which I have not listed, and I will do this soonish.

White Victorian

I have been moving around so much, but I’m looking forward to have a base soon and invest in a really simple but beautiful bookshelf to keep my 100+ books. Right now they’re kinda separated, with 50+ books in storage in Singapore and 50+ books in storage in Malaysia. In my head I can already imagine how this bookshelf will look like. It will most likely be a carved wooden shelf refurbished with a new coat of white paint. Victorian.
